Medical Community - Vaccine Availability
Recently the United States has seen vaccine shortages of the recommended vaccines. The United States has seen shortages of vaccines in the past such as:
- pneumococcal conjugate vaccines (PCV)
- tetanus vaccines
- others
Currently, there is a shortage of HIB vaccine. Click here for more information.
Shortages may occur for reasons being that:
- Many vaccines are not available at all times.
- Manufacturers of vaccines are not able to keep up with demand.
- Manufacturers quit making the vaccine.
Be sure to call your health care provider first for vaccine availability!
